XRPLDEX.io / Dex Node™ (the "Platform," "we," "us," or "our") operates as a decentralized, non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange protocol and associated user interface(s). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of information in connection with your access to and use of the Platform.

We are committed to protecting user privacy and operate with a strong emphasis on decentralization, user sovereignty, and minimal data collection.

1. Information We Collect

The Platform is designed as a decentralized, non-custodial cryptocurrency exchange protocol and interface, prioritizing user privacy and sovereignty. Currently, we do not require users to create accounts, provide personal identification, or undergo Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification processes.

No Personal Information Collected (Current Practice): We do not collect, store, or process personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, government-issued identification, physical addresses, date of birth, or payment details.
Private Keys and Custody Disclaimer: We do not collect, nor store any private key data. If you run a Dex Node™, your XRPL Wallet private key is stored on your Server or VPS. And is your responsibility to keep secure. XRPLDEX.io / Dex Node™ is a non-custodial Site / Service. We do not custody any crypto. All we offer is an XRPL Dex dapp, that allows you to swap tokens. And for that service, we collect a dex fee of 50 bps per transaction. See Terms of Use for more information on our dex fee.
Potential Future Collection: If compelled to do so by applicable law, regulation, or binding governmental or regulatory requirements (e.g., mandatory KYC/AML obligations in certain jurisdictions or for specific Platform features), we may in the future collect and process limited personal information necessary to comply with those requirements. Any such collection would be strictly limited to what is legally required, conducted transparently, and subject to the same stringent no-sharing commitments outlined in this Policy.
Blockchain and Usage Data: When you interact with the Platform (e.g., by connecting a non-custodial wallet), publicly available on-chain data (such as wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and smart contract interactions) may be visible or temporarily processed solely to facilitate functionality. This data is inherent to the public blockchain and is not collected or stored by us as personal data.
Limited Technical Data: We may automatically collect certain non-personal, aggregated technical information for operational purposes, such as browser type, device information, IP addresses (in anonymized or aggregated form), and basic usage analytics. This information is not linked to any identifiable individual and is used only to improve the Platform's performance, security, and user experience.

We do not collect sensitive personal data under current operations, and the Platform is not intended for users under the age of majority in their jurisdiction.

2. How We Use Information

Any limited data we encounter is used solely for:

Enabling and improving the functionality of the decentralized protocol and interface.
Aggregated analytics to understand usage patterns (without identifying individuals).
Security, fraud prevention, and technical troubleshooting.

We do not use data for marketing, profiling, behavioral advertising, or any purpose unrelated to operating the Platform.

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any user information with third parties for commercial purposes.

No Routine Sharing: We do not share, disclose, or transfer any personal or identifiable information to third parties, affiliates, advertisers, or data brokers under any circumstances.
Legal Compulsion Exception: We may disclose information only if compelled to do so by a valid legal order, subpoena, court order, or other binding request from a governmental authority, law enforcement agency, or international regulatory body with jurisdiction. In such cases, we will disclose only the minimum information required by law and will attempt to notify affected users where permitted.
Service Providers: We may use third-party service providers (e.g., for hosting, analytics, or security) that process limited, non-personal technical data on our behalf under strict confidentiality obligations. These providers do not receive or access any personal information.

4. Data Storage and Security

Any transient or aggregated technical data is stored securely and for only as long as necessary for the purposes described. On-chain data remains on the public blockchain and is not under our control.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, but as a decentralized protocol, ultimate security depends on user practices (e.g., safeguarding private keys and wallet security).

5. Your Rights and Choices

Because we collect minimal to no personal information, most traditional data subject rights (e.g., access, deletion, or portability under laws like GDPR or CCPA) do not apply in the conventional sense. However:

You control your wallet and on-chain interactions directly.
If you believe we hold any linked information (unlikely), contact us using the information below.
You may opt out of any optional analytics by using privacy-focused tools or configurations in your browser/wallet.

6. International Users and Data Transfers

The Platform operates globally on public blockchains. Any limited technical data may be processed in various jurisdictions. By using the Platform, you acknowledge this.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Platform or legal requirements. The updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
